01

ENSURING SAFE NEIGHBORHOODS
Everett is a beautiful city but we have more work to do to ensure every person feels safe in their homes and on their streets. I'll always stand with our first responders to make sure they have the resources to keep neighborhoods safe.
-
Here in Everett, we're fortunate to have a police department that is not only hardworking and solution-focused but also deeply committed to serving with care and creativity. Their dedication helps ensure that our streets, shops, and homes remain safe spaces for everyone.
-
To maintain this high standard, the City Council must continue to support and empower our first responders. By investing in recruitment, retention, and ensuring they have the resources they need, we can make sure they continue to serve Everett with integrity and compassion. Together, we can build a safer, stronger Everett for all.
02

MAINTAINING HOUSING SUPPLY WITH EMPATHY AND STRATEGY
Living and working in the same community strengthens connections and fosters a deeper sense of pride in our city. When we thoughtfully plan housing, we create vibrant neighborhoods, support economic diversity, and protect residents from displacement driven by rising costs. By prioritizing workforce housing, Everett can build a more equitable, resilient, and inclusive future for everyone.
-
Workforce housing is essential to sustaining Everett’s economy and fostering pride in our community. Everett should be a beacon for first-time home buyers, offering accessible solutions that make homeownership a reality. By expanding downtown apartment options, we can create more opportunities for people to call Everett home. And the network of services provided by Everett gives space for those needing support. This spectrum sets our city apart from others in the Puget Sound region.
-
One critical gap in our housing spectrum is the availability of middle housing—a statewide issue that demands innovative, local solutions. Everett can lead the way in bridging the gap between renting and owning, but this will require creativity, collaboration, and honest dialogue with developers and state lawmakers.
-
A robust housing spectrum helps us retain essential workers—teachers, healthcare professionals, first responders, and service industry employees—who are the backbone of our community.
03

LISTENING TO OUR COMMUNITY
Our neighborhoods are the heart and soul of Everett. I know my job is to listen, get out to every community and then lead on the critical issues facing Everett residents.
-
The sidewalks and alleyways of Everett’s first district are a hidden gem. They’re where neighbors meet, where blocks become communities, and where lasting connections begin. I will work closely with neighborhood associations to support intentional, thoughtful development that strengthens these ties.
-
Our parks play a central role in this community fabric. Everett's parks department is responsive, accessible, and vital to our city’s quality of life. Our district is also home to thriving community gardens that foster local ownership and support.
